Got a call from this number at 3.14pm today but I ignored it. They called back 4 minutes later, and again at 3.25pm, which I picked up. Got a call from this number about some insurance or policy thing, not sure exactly what. Honestly, the bloke was so rude and I have no idea how they even got hold of my details. When I told him I was pretty annoyed by how dismissive he was, he just hung up on me! Before that, he said something like, "Alright mate, I’ll just have to trust you that you don’t have that policy." I seriously doubt they bothered recording that conversation.

Got a call from a bloke with a posh British accent, saying my info was on their list for car accident claims. I told him straight up, "Don't bother. You're just cold calling me with data you probably bought from some dodgy source." He argued it wasn’t cold calling since I’m apparently on their list. The chat wasn’t going anywhere good, just the usual rubbish from a hectic call centre. He kept his manners, but I’m sure he’s now onto trying to get someone else to make a dodgy whiplash claim in my name.

Got a call from some bloke with a confident British accent, saying my info's on their list for car accident claims. I told him straight up, "Listen mate, don’t bother. You’re cold calling me off a dodgy list you’ve bought from some shady data collector." He argued that it’s not cold calling since I’m in their system. We went round in circles, sounded like a script from one of those packed call centres. He stayed polite though, so I reckon he’ll just pass me off to another agent to try and flog a fake whiplash claim.

I kept seeing missed calls from this number so I decided to ring back but added 141 before dialing. Answered by a robotic voicemail talking about some 'Action Claim Direct' or whatever. Then I looked up their website and man, it looked super dodgy. Found a guy called Kevin on there, a solicitor who’s apparently with them. Haven’t tried calling him yet but I’m thinkin it’s time to do a bit of digging and stir the pot :D

I reckon they ring you first from a landline - like the one that’s been reported before - then a little while later, they call again but this time their number’s hidden and you get some automated spiel about PPI or whatever. Best not to pick up if the call’s anonymous. Especially if you just had a call from a landline and they hung up quick. They’re probably just checking if your number is live...

Received a phone call from some cold caller who asked for me using my old surname. I've been married for almost 4 years now. Blocked the number straight away. Other sites also mention these are cold calls, and if you happen to call back, you get some "quality service, personalised for you" spiel. Just block and don’t bother answering!

The real contact for them is 0161 834 1642, and their office is actually on Queen Street, though the back entrance faces Lloyd Street. Looks like someone got the digits mixed up, so maybe you ought to say sorry on Twitter? Probably best to ring their Marketing team and sort it out.
