I had an interesting experience with a caller who asked, "Am I speaking to Mrs...?" to which I emphatically replied, "No, that’s not me," as my name is nothing like that. They then proceeded to inquire if I was the owner of this number, and I confirmed that I was, but I quickly added that I wasn't in the mood for a chat and terminated the call. It felt quite suspicious, and there was an abundance of noise in the background, suggesting it was some sort of call centre located overseas.

They called me using outdated address details, pushing really hard and saying they were sending two LoAuthority letters to my place, which they later confirmed. I told them they probably shouldn't be doing that and then they just hung up on me.

I got a call from that very number, and they try to fool you by using a UK number. She claimed I was due a PPI refund in a couple days. When I asked her to stop calling, she started swearing at me. Proper rude if you ask me.

Got a call from John Adams, something to do with payment protection. These lot are so irritating, the bloke hardly talks proper English and clearly has no clue what 'no' means. Really looking forward to the FCA's PPI deadline coming in so these nuisances can finally stop bothering me. Knowing them, they’ll just latch onto some other excuse to keep pestering!

Got a call today from a Manchester number, so I answered thinking it might be someone I know. The bloke on the phone already had my full name, address, and number. When I asked how they got my details, he said their company works hand-in-hand with high street banks. He wanted to post me a letter to sign and return because apparently I might be due a PPI refund. Thing is, I’ve never had a credit card or taken out any loans, so no way I’m owed anything. I kept telling him that, and after a bit, he just said thanks and hung up. Total cold call con!

This is the 15th time they’ve rang me in just 4 days! Most times they just hang up as soon as I pick up. The one time they actually spoke, they were really rude when I told them I’ve never had PPI cos I’ve never taken a credit card.

I keep receiving calls from various similar numbers, all concerning mis-sold PPI or, occasionally, accident claims - and let me be clear, it’s all complete nonsense! I've made it abundantly clear that they have incorrect details and that I absolutely DO NOT wish to be contacted again. Yet, they persist! It strikes me that if they were genuine in their business, they wouldn’t want to alienate a potential client - how silly can they be?

I received a call last week where I specifically requested to have my details removed from their list. Shockingly, they rang me again the following week with the same PPI compensation pitch. During the call, I made it quite clear multiple times that I wanted to be taken off their database, but the caller just kept talking over me. Their manner was quite pushy and rather ill-mannered.

Received a call this arvo, he wanted me to verify my name but i refused. heard loads of noise in the background so was hard to catch. when i asked what it was about, he said ‘payment protection team’. pressed for the company name, he half-heartedly said first call group then just ended the call. definitely dont share your info, this is a scam.

Received a rather bothersome call earlier today, and good grief, the background noise was unbearable! When I pressed the caller for his name, he seemed quite evasive. He claimed to be from the payment protection department, supposedly representing the First Call Group. Upon inquiring further about the purpose of the call, he promptly disconnected. This marks the second time today I've been harassed by these calls, and it's absolutely ridiculous. It's vital to remain cautious - never divulge any personal information, especially when they ask you to verify your identity!
