Yeah, same here, my bullcrap meter’s off the charts. Ring me again and I’ll call the coppers, stop calling! Next day, phone rings again, "Hello, this is Peeyteer." Hold on mate, I’ll get the lady who pays the bills. Been listening to my 19-month old babbling nonsense for 10 minutes now, haha!

Somebody asked if I was “Mrs ...?” which i found odd since that’s not me at all. Then they wanted to know if i owned that phone number, which i said yes to. I told them I wasn’t interested in chatting right now and quickly ended the call. It sounded sketchy, loads of noise in the background like a busy call centre from overseas.

They called me using outdated address details, pushing really hard and saying they were sending two LoAuthority letters to my place, which they later confirmed. I told them they probably shouldn't be doing that and then they just hung up on me.

I got a call from that very number, and they try to fool you by using a UK number. She claimed I was due a PPI refund in a couple days. When I asked her to stop calling, she started swearing at me. Proper rude if you ask me.

Got a call from John Adams, something to do with payment protection. These lot are so irritating, the bloke hardly talks proper English and clearly has no clue what 'no' means. Really looking forward to the FCA's PPI deadline coming in so these nuisances can finally stop bothering me. Knowing them, they’ll just latch onto some other excuse to keep pestering!

Got a call today from a Manchester number, so I answered thinking it might be someone I know. The bloke on the phone already had my full name, address, and number. When I asked how they got my details, he said their company works hand-in-hand with high street banks. He wanted to post me a letter to sign and return because apparently I might be due a PPI refund. Thing is, I’ve never had a credit card or taken out any loans, so no way I’m owed anything. I kept telling him that, and after a bit, he just said thanks and hung up. Total cold call con!

This is the 15th time they’ve rang me in just 4 days! Most times they just hang up as soon as I pick up. The one time they actually spoke, they were really rude when I told them I’ve never had PPI cos I’ve never taken a credit card.

I keep getting calls from numbers that are just a little bit different each time, always about PPI or, on occasion, accident compensation - which is totally wrong, I should add! Even after making it clear that they’ve got the wrong details and telling them I don’t want more calls, they just keep ringing. Doesn’t it make you think if they were genuine, they wouldn’t annoy someone who might be interested? Bit daft if you ask me!

About a week ago, I got this call and told them to take me off their list. Then, just the following week, they rang me again offering the same PPI reclaim deal. Received a call this arvo, he wanted me to verify my name but i refused. heard loads of noise in the background so was hard to catch. when i asked what it was about, he said ‘payment protection team’. pressed for the company name, he half-heartedly said first call group then just ended the call. definitely dont share your info, this is a scam.

Got a phone call earlier today with loads of background noise. The person on the line wouldn’t say his name straight away, even after I pressed him. He claimed he was from some payment protection unit, calling for First Call Group or something similar. When I asked what the call was about, he just cut me off right away.
They ring me twice every day, which is pretty annoying and unprofessional.
Be careful and never share your personal info, especially when asked to verify your name.
