I got a message saying “Hi, please ring MFUK on 01618148620 to sort out your upgrade and get your new 2015 SMARTPHONE delivered. Ref 161. Offer ends TODAY!!” I’d heard some chatter about these lot before, that they get quite nasty if you question why they’re calling. They claim to be authorised by your current phone company but it’s apparently not true. So I called the number from my landline to see what was going on. The woman I spoke to was quite nice at first, but once I mentioned I’m already locked in a contract she just shrugged it off as a “system glitch” even though she didn’t ask for my name or number. Bit laughable really! Seems they just want to push contracts to folks still on PAYG. Caller name: MFUK.
