I keep getting calls from 0161 814 8353 and other numbers that end alike. Usually, I just ignore them, but today I picked up. A bloke said he was ringing from Loan UK or something similar. Apparently, I’d applied online for a loan that was declined, but he could offer me a loan there and then over the phone, no credit checks involved. All he needed was me to answer a few security questions! I told him politely that I don’t do loans over the phone with strangers and I wasn’t about to hand out any personal info. Bit cheeky if you ask me!

I got a call from these people who somehow managed to know my name, which was a bit creepy. They went on about a loan I supposedly applied for last month, but I told them I hadn’t taken out a loan in ages. Before I could say more, they just cut the call. What surprised me even more was that they rang me the very next day again. In the end, I blocked the number and reckon anyone else who gets these calls should do the same.

Got a call saying I was approved for a loan I supposedly applied for. When I mentioned I never applied, they kept insisting I did, almost like they were trying to convince me otherwise. I kept saying I hadn't and then just ended the call. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

At about half past seven last night, this number rang me up and asked for me by my first name. I asked who was on the line, and the woman claimed to be from some company I definitely hadn’t come across before. I told her I had no idea who she was, and then she said she was ringing about a loan I supposedly applied for on the internet, asking if I wanted to proceed. I kept saying no, loud and clear, until she just cut me off.

Said it was a stocks and shares ISA. I told him I wasn’t too bothered, but then he asked for my National Insurance number - like an idiot, I gave it. He promised to send me an info pack but I never got anything through. Honestly, be careful and don’t get caught out like I did.

Curious, I rang the number back only to hear some indistinct chatter in the background before it fell silent. Quite perplexing, I decided to hang up. She started going off accusing me of wasting her time, but I cut her off and asked her who on earth she thought she was speaking to. I made it clear that it was her constant harassment causing the issue and told her to stop calling or I’d report her to Ofcom. She was about to respond but I just hung up.
