I got a call from someone claiming I was owed £2500 from a Barclays loan. They first said they were from the Payment Protection Company, then later switched to saying they were from the Payment Protection Department. When I asked them to clarify which one it actually was, they just didn’t answer me. Then they tried to get my date of birth, which I wasn’t about to share.

These dodgy callers kicked off by telling me I’d soon be getting a letter about £2,599 supposedly owed by the bank. Thing is, they have no clue if I’m even due any PPI, they’re just fishing for my details. I told them straight to shove off and demanded they take my number off their system and never ring me back. The key part is to warn them you’ll report them if they don’t stop.

Classic PPI con artists. I’m on the TPS list and asked them to take me off their call list, but they wouldn’t have it. They kept saying they’d keep ringing me and others unless I talked to them. Got a call from someone about PPI a couple days back and then again today. They said I'd get some papers in the post soon about my claim, but I never even made one. Got a call on my mobile from a number I don’t normally share except with close mates and relatives. Didn’t pick up and no voicemail left either. When I looked it up, looked like some kind of sales call. Next time, I’ll pick up and tell them straight to remove me from their list or I’ll be reporting them to OFCOM - that’ll hopefully sort it out.
