But no, he persisted with his rehearsed spiel, leaving me no choice but to reiterate my point, coupled with my displeasure regarding this unwelcome interruption to my day. To my astonishment, he then offered to furnish me with the company's contact details for reporting purposes, but hilariously, he handed me my own landline number instead! In the end, I had to take matters into my own hands and rang 1471 to dig up the actual company's number. What a palaver!
