A bloke with a strong Asian accent called and said his name was Darren Smith. He mentioned I'd get some money back in the coming days - like a refund or something. The noise in the background was awful, definitely sounded like a call centre. I told him quite coldly that I couldn't understand a word he was saying, said goodbye and ended the call. This number has rung me loads over the last three months, sometimes even every day for a bit. I usually just ignore it.

01618143070 kept ringing me daily for nearly a month. Today, I finally picked up and the bloke on the end had a South African accent. He was pretty pushy, talking about claiming money back from the bank over PPI or somethin’. When I refused to share my details, he got even more aggressive. What creeped me out was that he already knew quite a bit about me! An advisor from the Action Fraud site told me to report it as fraud right away.
