Anyone knows how to get these lot to stop calling? They give this number supposed to take you off their list but it doesn’t seem to work or even exist. Last time I spoke to a woman from them, when I asked to be taken off their calls, she just cut me off! Who are these annoying people and how do I make them quit with the calls?

They called us even though we're listed as ex-directory and marked not to be contacted. Proper annoying!

I just got a call from a really pushy young woman, sounded like she might be American or Canadian, claiming to be from some place called ‘Consumer Solutions.’ She started off asking for a Sarah Milne, which isn’t me at all, although I do get loads of calls meant for her as she apparently used to have this number. When I told her this wasn’t Sarah’s number anymore, she asked for my information instead. I said no way I was sharing my details. We ended up going back and forth because she kept saying she worked for ‘Consumer Solutions’ and was trying to update household info for some shops or organisations or something like that. She said if I just gave her my info, it would stop me getting these wrong-number calls. I told her I didn’t feel comfortable giving my details over the phone and eventually she gave up asking. What’s the deal with these people? Is this connected to debt collectors or something?

They ring you up pretending to do a survey, asking about stuff like your central heating or solar panels or something. Sounds like a solar energy firm or something similar. Such a hassle!
