Was working from home when these muppets rang me up, saying they were from the Pension Advisory Service, asking about my pension details. Even tho I'm employed, I figured I’d mess with them a bit - said “You’re calling me at home, in daylight, and reckon I’ve got any company pensions? Only if you mean the DSS!” That got them to hang right up. Cheers, losers!

They said they were from the Pension Advice Service and sounded really legit. They even had all my info, like which pension scheme I’m with, my employer, the dates and all that. Proper creepy if you ask me. When they started asking for my pension policy number and National Insurance number, and said they’d send a courier to pick it up, I just ended the call. Whenever they want stuff that personal, it’s a clear red flag.

Been getting calls like 7 or 8 times a day since October 2015, nonstop. They never leave a voicemail either, just keep ringing even when I ignore it. Seems like a really desperate sales lot. You’d think they’d get the hint after a while if no one’s picking up but nah, they keep at it :(. Had enough now so I’ve blocked the number :)

They mentioned sending someone over to 'gather' some pension details to assess whether I was being charged excessively. My advice? Politely but firmly tell them to clear off!

I received a call from someone purporting to be from the Department of Work and Pensions, inquiring about my pension arrangements. I informed them that I didn't have any, and they promptly ended the conversation. I'm quite certain they're not legitimate representatives of the DWP, so I strongly advise against sharing any personal details with them. Stay vigilant!

Got a call from someone offering a free pension check. They said some courier would bring the paperwork over. Tried calling back to cancel but the phone just kept ringing with no answer. Looks like I'll have to wait for the courier and then tell him to clear off. Wish I'd been smarter and didn’t fall for it. Be careful and steer clear of these people. I'll get my husband to handle the door and explain I tried to call but no one picked up.

Brilliant, this morning I got told to bugger off and that I'd be charged for wasting their time coz I refused to hang up till they gave me their company name and address. They said their company is called [#gofyourself{###]. They ring me loads of times a day saying my pension provider allowed them to look into my details.

They honestly won't give up. They accused me of lying and claimed Vodafone’s records are wrong, saying they've only called me four times. Yet, my phone log shows 57 missed and answered calls from them. They still won't tell me their company name, insisting they do at the start of the call, which I don’t believe for a second. Makes me think their name must be something like [#]go_away[###]. I can't imagine how they even manage to make any sales this way.

This has to be a scam. They say they're from some government group called the Pensions Advisory Bureau. I checked with the official Pensions Advisory Service, which is a legitimate government organisation, and they said it's nothing to do with them. They advised me to report it to the police straight away.
