This definitely felt like one of those call centres. The number showed up with a Manchester code, but I’ve heard they sometimes use VOIP to mask where they’re really calling from. Not a great first impression. They said they were from some kind of ‘insurance review’ company and wanted to chat about my insurance policies. No chance I was getting into that. Best to steer clear.

i got a ring from this number while i was stuck in a meeting so i couldn't pick up even if i wanted to. if these people are about ppi claims, whoever handed them my number must be messing about because ive never had any ppi, not in a million years. i hardly ever answer calls from numbers i dont recognise so honestly you lot are just wasting your breath trying with me.

Today I noticed a couple of missed calls from this number. I rang back using my home phone and was greeted by an automated message mentioning something about “first call group”. After a bit of googling, it looks like it’s connected to those PPI claim scams. I’ve blocked the number now.
