When I asked where they got my info from, she said I’d opted in. I kept telling her I never signed up for anything, asked multiple times who supplied my details, and she just kept saying it was me. told her again, that’s not true, I don't even know this firm. when I asked which company she worked for, she said it was Motor Investigation Team. really unfriendly person too.

Extra number: 03300590482. Got a ring from some customer support about a no-claim thing supposedly in the last two years. Told them that was complete rubbish and asked how they even had my details. The assistant said I was being rude, so I said I wasn’t just calling out of the blue - that’s what’s rude. Asked to talk to the manager called Bradley, who said he’s from Motor Investigations, an offshore call centre they outsource to. When I asked for proper contact info to complain, they just pointed me to their website. Total con, best to avoid these lot completely.

Got a call about some supposed accident I was in over the past two years. Told them I’d actually been in three and asked for more details. Of course, they couldn’t provide any. Had a bit of fun with the guy (sound was South African), made up some random things, then said I was just messing about and ended the call.

0161 414 0905 Motor Investigations - Zack - sounded like he had a South African accent. The connection was awful, kept cutting out. He kept asking about my no fault claim. I told him I wasn't involved in any accident, but he kept pushing and pushing, asking if I was really sure I wasn’t in the car. Eventually, he just hung up. Total waste of time. They’ve called me so many times before I finally picked up. I did ask them to stop calling, but I’m not holding my breath.

Same here. I keep getting calls from a woman who sounds like she’s from abroad. My initial reaction is always, how on earth does she have my name and number? She never gives a straight answer. I usually get quite annoyed with them. Some of the numbers I’ve seen are 0203 896 9807, 0203 896 9810, 01621 741770, 01904 487400, 01580 819303, 0151 375 9719.

Just got a call from a woman using the number 0161 814 2747 saying she was calling from Motor Investigations. She claimed I had a note on my renewal about someone hitting my car bumper - supposedly a no fault claim. I asked her to identify herself properly, and she repeated Motor Investigations. Then I requested the number she was calling from; she said it was the one showing on my phone, but when I asked for the digits, she couldn’t say. I also asked for the registration number of the vehicle involved, but she couldn’t provide that either. The call ended abruptly after that.

Got a call from 03300590463, some woman claiming she was with Motor investigations. She wanted to talk about a crash I supposedly had, where apparently I wasn’t to blame. Was a bit bored during my lunch so I asked her where she’d found out about the accident and how she managed to get my number. She got pretty annoyed with me asking all that. I asked for her full name - Amy Dawson, she said. She was pretty rude, that one, but I have to admit it was quite entertaining messing with her a bit. Cheers for the laugh during my lunch break, folks!

A lady from Motor Investigation, who said she was from Birmingham, rang me about an incident from the last couple of years where supposedly I wasn’t to blame. She said I was due £2575 but couldn’t provide any details about the cars involved. She was all talk and wouldn’t really listen! When I told her my car was fine with no damage, she said that was ‘quite unusual’ and then just hung up on me.

When I got their agent, I asked loads silly questions and then I told her to hold on, set the phone down and walked off. He mentioned I was owed some money from the other driver and asked if I had any paperwork about it. I told him I wasn’t interested and asked to be taken off their list. Shaun then got quite rude, so I just ended the call.

Today I got a call from a woman who claimed to be Kate Williams from Motor Investigations in Birmingham. She gave me a phone number, 0161 974 7586, but only after I asked why she wanted to know. When I told her I hadn’t been in any accident, she kept questioning why I supposedly ticked a box about a minor accident when I renewed my insurance - which I never did. She was really rude and seemed more focused on speaking than actually listening. In the end, she hung up on me after I said I’d report the call as harassment.

I keep getting calls from different numbers claiming to be moto investigations for the road traffic association. Following advice from the telephone preference service, I ask them for their official company number and address to have the details ready if I need to report them as unwanted calls. 0161 814 9468 - Got loads of calls off some place called 'MOTOR INVESTIGATION BUREAU' - which doesn’t actually exist - saying they’re looking into an accident with some unknown driver who hit my car and took off! They said I could claim £2575 compensation. They already had my details and old address but still tried to ask me about the crash. TOTAL SCAM - AVOID PICKING UP OR TALKING TO THEM.

I keep getting calls from 01709 276322 about some car accident involving a stranger, trying to find someone else. I told them several times it’s nothing to do with me, but the person on the phone said my number was linked to it so they’d send me a cheque anyway. They put me through to three different people during the call. When I told the third person again I’m not involved, she just hung up. I wasted about 10 minutes on this awful call, and they were being completely dishonest. I’m certain these calls won’t stop, and that’s what annoys me the most.

0121 389 0855 called me at 11:40 on 30-01-2017 claiming to be from the MOTOR INVESTIGATION AGENCY. I've been getting loads of calls from them about a minor accident of mine. Does anyone know who they really are? They've been ringing me so often it feels like they’re just pestering me. The problem is, their calls are really unclear and they never say exactly what they want regarding the Insurance claim. They don’t mention any Insurance or Claim Numbers either, which makes me suspicious.

0121890856. My lad is a Barrister and has looked into this firm. They don’t actually exist. It’s a total scam and connected to another outfit pretending to be from HMRC. Some folks are way too gullible, not stopping to think that HMRC is very unlikely to have your phone number or email. Come on, people, wake up. HMRC always contacts you by letter, and if you’ve had an accident, your solicitor or insurer will handle it - not some random muppet ringing you out of the blue.

I've had loads of calls from someone claiming to be Hector Hudson at Motor Investigation Agency, ringing from 01223 661 822. Proper aggressive and quite confusing. They throw around terms like 'uninsured loss' to try and hook you in. Best thing is to keep quiet. Think about it: a) your insurer handles your claims anyway, b) who just randomly phone you? Usually, you'd get letters, not surprise calls. Feels like they just grab numbers and try to stir something up.

Looks like these lot have smartened up and swapped their number! I’ve been getting loads of missed calls from 02037525025, and when I picked up today, it was some bloke called ‘Dave’ - not a typical Indian name - from Motor Investigations, asking for someone with my last name but the wrong first name. I told him how annoying these random calls are, and he was quite decent about it. I kinda feel sorry for him, just trying to make a living, but it’s the company behind him raking in the cash that really needs to be stopped!!

This number called me last week about something called a section 4 credit. I had a car accident two years ago but never made a claim for it. I asked them to ring me back so I could look into it more. I couldn’t find anything about “section 4” but everything else the woman said seemed legit. I think her name was Rowan? I went ahead with it and now waiting for the paperwork. I can see how calls like this would bother people who’ve never been in a crash. My advice: always double or triple check all the boxes and fine print when using price comparison sites :)

Over the past few weeks, I've been getting loads of calls on my mobile from a number I didn't recognise, so I just ended up ignoring them. A few of my workmates have also had calls from the same number. When they answer and say they haven’t been in any accidents and want their info taken off the list, the callers come back with all sorts of replies I’ve seen in other comments here. Signing up with the TPS seems pointless because firms like this just ignore the regulations. Why isn’t there someone official sorting this mess out?

Ignore this number. Some guy called me from here (MIA) saying I’d been in a small crash or something - crazy cos I definitely haven’t been in any accident or filled any forms on comparison websites, which he also claimed. Then he tried to say I might have amnesia! I told him straight up that I’m fully aware and asked him to delete my info from whatever database they’ve got. Got a call today on my partner’s phone, which she only ever uses for family. When I asked where they’d gotten the number from, they said I must have given it on some insurance claim. Somebody rang me saying I owed a section 4 credit payment and that I’d been in an accident. I told them I hadn’t, and they said it was about a small accident. I said I had no idea what they meant and asked where they got my number. They said it was from Go Compare. I recently used their service for car insurance so I reckon my info got sold. The caller said they were from the Motor Investigation Agency and they knew my name. Definitely blocking that number now.
