This chap rang me up, insisting he was with EE and, rather alarmingly, addressed me by my name. He spun a yarn about a supposed virus on my device, claiming I had to download some software to resolve the issue. I decided to string him along for nearly twenty minutes, acting as though I was keen to comply with his ridiculous guidance. When my patience wore thin and I called out his blatant con, he turned rather nasty, declaring he was from Pak*stan and made some utterly vile threats towards me and my spouse!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Virgin Media, alleging that my Wi-Fi was being hampered by some dodgy downloads. They urged me to log in and comply with their guidance. However, they failed to provide any solid proof that they were indeed affiliated with Virgin Media. When I continued to seek verification, they abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, I must say!

I received a call from a call centre in India claiming to represent BT, insisting that their system indicates suspicious data activity from my BT router, suggesting someone might be siphoning off information. As someone with an IT background, I can confidently say it's all nonsense - just a ploy to fish for my personal details from my computer.
