Got a call from some mortgage firm, told them I’ve never had a mortgage before and asked nicely to take my number off their list. They were pretty polite about it.

Somebody called saying they wanted to lower my life insurance policy. Total scam. When I asked which company they were representing, they just said "call centre" and then ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a guy claiming to be from e-on about our renewal. Could hear loads of noise in the background like other calls going on. Told him we arent with e-on, but he kept pushing and wanted to know who we do use. Really rude and kept arguing, wouldn’t remove us from their list even after i asked repeatedly. Ended up hanging up - then he rang back! Had to cut off again straight away.

I’ve noticed there’s a couple of numbers linked to this firm, one being 01618088556. If you block one, the other one just calls you instead. They dont say anything, just hang up, so I’d suggest blocking that number too. Luckily, my phone provider gave me a free blocking service. They’re really heartless, even bothering older folks.
