My elderly mum got a call from someone saying they were her mobile provider and wanted her to switch her contract, even though she's on the TPS list. They first called from a number we had blocked. Whenever I asked who they were or for more info about their company, they just avoided the questions. Really dodgy behaviour.

this guy said he had incredible mobile contract deals. when i asked how he got my info, he said it came from a database his company uses that obviously doesn’t follow gdpr rules. pretty clear he’s a scammer. then he just ended the call :)

some bloke called me saying he was with 02 and wanted to chat about my phone contract. the minute i mentioned i was under 18, he reckoned i could just use someone else’s name - like a family member or even someone next door. after that, he suddenly said he was a cop and then went all emotional, started blubbing. felt like a total scam to me.

I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, answered it but didn’t say anything and just put the phone down. The person on the other end quickly hung up after about three seconds.
