Similar to what others mentioned, I reckon this number could genuinely be Virgin Media. I got a call from them not long after I filed an online complaint about my engineer visit gettin' pushed back without them botherin' to tell me. I didn’t pick up though, cause I was lookin’ up the number here and by the time I tried answerin’, they’d already hung up.

27/08/24 at 14:08 Some bloke from India rang me, started chatting away in Punjabi like we were mates or something. I shouted, “Who is this?” and he just dropped the call. Watch out everyone, these are all dodgy scammers. I’m flagging this number as risky.

Got a call from someone saying they were Virgin Media, but they were trying to sell me finance for a rickshaw. Sounded like a decent deal, but I’m sticking to my cars with 4 wheels rather than 3. Not really my thing!

Got a call from someone speaking English really badly, with a strong rural South Indian accent, saying they were from Virgin Media and wanted to arrange a visit from an engineer to look at the installation. Definitely not legit. I reckon it’s just a ploy to get inside the house - to nick stuff or to suss out where our valuables are for a later break-in.

Never picked up this call, but everyone says it’s Virgin Media arranging engineer visits and stuff. This is the second time Virgin Media have rung me about it, even though I haven’t been with them for more than 5 years. I had a pretty bad time as a Virgin Media customer, and it’s so hard to get rid of them completely once you’ve left. Virgin Media said they'd come to fit it between 1 and 5 pm. Then at 4.45, I got a call from a lady with a strong accent saying the engineer would only arrive at 6.30pm. She just told me that and hung up straight away, no chat or anything. I'm just sat here now waiting. Seems legit so far. I’ll update if anything turns out dodgy.

Got a call earlier from a guy with a really thick South Asian accent, he asked if it was me but he was calling my personal mobile. We’ve already been waiting an extra 7 weeks past the date they said the installation would happen. Now he wanted to move the install time earlier by two hours.
