On 27th September 2023, someone calling himself "Michael" from Amazon Security rang me using this number, claiming someone had tried to purchase a smartphone using my account. He told me he’d sent me an email about it and asked me to check it while he waited on the line for a few minutes. I couldn’t find the email on my phone and he said it was only accessible via computer. Since I couldn’t get to a computer at the moment, I asked if he could call back around 3pm. He agreed, but I’m not holding my breath. After the call, I searched the number and sure enough, it’s a known scam.

Got a call claiming to be from Amazon, sounded dodgy as hell. Best thing I did was just cut them off right away. Don't waste your time chatting with those scammers.
