When I inquired about the latest hour they planned to ring, the individual on the line simply chuckled mockingly. Clearly, they're nothing but scam merchants-rude, obnoxious, and utterly ineffective.

DO NOT PICK UP!! Some really pushy person rang claiming to be from "ESS Energy/Utilities". I told them to take me off their list and that our company is on the TPS register, but they just called me a liar and said we weren’t registered. I've blocked this number now.

I received a rather disconcerting call from a representative of this so-called Energy Brokerage firm today. A chap named Matthew claimed to be reaching out on behalf of "UK energy suppliers," and he incorrectly presumed we were due for a contract renewal - which we certainly are not. When I clarified that I was quite content with my current energy provider, he pressed for the specifics of when I last renewed, but I declined to disclose that information. He then inquired about our last contract review, and again, I chose not to share those details. I insisted on having our information removed from their records in accordance with the GDPR guidelines, but he continued to tout the prospect of a great deal. I firmly reiterated that I was not interested in continuing the conversation, and to my surprise, he abruptly ended the call. Quite unprofessional if you ask me!

I had a right peculiar experience the other day. Someone was adamant to have a word with a manager but was completely tight-lipped about their location or the purpose of the call. The chap became quite confrontational when I couldn’t transfer the call to anyone, which was a bit off-putting to be honest. Upon answering, they inquired about which company I represented, so naturally, I asked them to identify their own establishment first. The chap responded with, "You rang us," to which I retorted, "No, you were the one who called me initially." I pressed him once more for the company's name, but he stubbornly refused, prompting me to say, "Forget it," before ending the call. Then, remarkably, he asked to speak to my managing director! I simply told him to hold for a moment, left the phone unattended for half an hour, and then hung up.
