2 yearsNot too sure why but even though I’ve put the number on my block list, it keeps trying to ring me, and I keep spotting it in my blocked calls every now and then.2 yearsI received a barrage of calls from this number, claiming to be the police enforcing an order against an individual who is apparently prohibited from contacting us. To make things more confusing, the solicitor involved was also using the name JAY&Gee, calling from multiple numbers. She relentlessly contacted me, even on Saturday mornings, which raised a red flag since solicitors typically don’t operate or make calls on weekends. Her tone was excessively rude and abrasive. A witness was on the line, and I was taken aback by her lack of professionalism. I finally snapped, asking her just who she thought she was talking to. I hung up, but she kept ringing incessantly, so I decided to ignore her calls. Eventually, I fell prey to her insistence and sent over a bank statement, but then it struck me: something wasn’t quite right. She continued to ask me to do things, all while making snide remarks under her breath, insinuating I was receiving certain benefits when, in fact, I wasn’t. She even had the audacity to call me a liar. When I flatly refused to do anything she requested, she kept insisting that she would explain everything again, disrupting me constantly. Her only response was to assert her authority as the solicitor working on my behalf, demanding payment. I told her that I understood how solicitors function, but it was clear she wasn’t listening to a word I said. Tired of the one-sided conversation, I hung up once more and promptly blocked her number, although the calls persisted as if I had been hacked-so much so that I switched back to my O2 phone just to evade her. In the end, I started questioning other numbers that kept ringing in, only to discover that the so-called solicitor’s details were a facade. I was even sent emails concerning mortgage amounts and payments after ignoring all previous communications. When I reported this to the police, expressing my concerns about the stalking situation, it seemed like they were truly listening but I was still left with doubts. With my phone hacked, I couldn't make heads or tails of the situation; I remain suspicious of the so-called social workers involved. I confided in my GP, who also expressed concern about the legitimacy of the situation and suggested bringing safeguarding into the fold. Given everything I've dealt with-particularly regarding my mental health and anxiety-this whole debacle has been immensely distressing. Until I get to the bottom of everything, I will remain uneasy, knowing that I was targeted in this elaborate scheme. Thank you.JAY4 yearsGot a call from some taxi firm saying my ride was on its way but the call just hangs up after a couple of rings. Bit weird really.5 yearsTotal scam cab.
