This is ridiculous. We've had this number ring us 14 times in just 48 hours. The bloke on the other end was being so aggressive, telling me to “f*** off” over and over again. Then when my other half answered, he just slammed the phone down like he was some kind of tough guy. I’m sick of it now. Can someone tell me how to block this number? It’s getting out of hand.

Since last week this number, 01617951214, has been ringing on our landline loads, like all day every day. We hardly use the landline, only really for emergencies or if mobiles aren't working. This number, 0161 7951214, rang me a couple of times earlier today. Each time I tried to pick up, there was silence, then the call just dropped. Proper frustrating!

Today they rang me 4 times, which is just insane. Usually, if you bring up the police, they hang up straight away, but these ones? Didn’t seem bothered one bit. Even when I told them I was recording the call, they just kept pushing with their scam. Proper rude too, called me all sorts of names, acted really aggressive and wouldn’t give up. Definitely blocking them now.

This was definitely a scam coming from outside the UK. BT really needs to step up and block these overseas fraudsters from making calls that show fake UK numbers. Seriously, it's about time they sorted this mess out.

Got a bunch of folks with Indian or Southeast Asian accents, all with typical English names, ringing me up insisting they’re offering free help with my internet. I’m like, yeah right, no one does that without charging a bomb! They go “Are you ready?” and I say, hang on a sec, I’ve gotta nip to Argos and grab a new computer first. Then I just leave them waiting ages. Now I’m trying to figure out how to block these annoying calls altogether. Such a pain!

I got calls from someone claiming to be from BT about a broadband issue. They rang me like six times, each time trying to convince me to let them access my computer.

This morning, I got two calls from 01617951214 claiming there were issues with errors on my broadband. They asked to get into my computer, but I wasn’t having any of it and told them to buzz off. Thing is, 0161 is the area code for where BT have their base, and apparently, this is the number for their call centre over in India. Made me suspicious straight away.

One of the most annoying scams I’ve had from Indian callers. They start with, "Sir, your internet is being accessed," then push you to get on your computer to give away details. Yeah right, like I’m falling for that.

Got a call from 01617951214 like four times while I was at work yesterday, but no voicemail or anything. Then they rang again this morning. Normally, I don’t pick up numbers I don’t recognise, but I was waiting for a call from my brother-in-law’s phone, so I answered. A lady with a strong accent and a really poor connection told me someone tried hacking into my internet sixteen times in the past day. I told her I couldn’t hear properly and hung up straight away. Even if the line had been clear, I’d have seen through it - total scam, no doubt.

Got calls from this number four times yesterday and a couple more times today. The person on the line had a strong foreign accent, made it hard to catch what they were saying. First time it was a woman, but she didn’t pick up when I rang back. Then this morning a bloke answered, also with a thick accent, said his name was Peter and claimed he was from BT about our internet. He tried to get me to log onto my computer so he could "help" with it. Pretty clear to me it’s a scam.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT, but the connection was really scratchy. She said there was a problem with my phone line. Got a call from some bloke calling himself David (as if) from BT, saying my internet had stopped working. I told him everything was fine. Then he claimed there was a security fault with my router, which I denied. I asked him if anyone still actually falls for these scams. He then just started insulting me and my folks. this lady claimed to be from bt and said there was unusual activity on my internet. she then passed me to another guy who said he could fix the problem. he asked me to open the run box on my laptop to enter some commands, but i told him to send any instructions through bt directly before i did anything. to my surprise, he just hung up on me! proper scammers, watch out!
