Got a call from some Asian bloke trying to flog TV insurance. Seriously, why doesn’t BT just block these annoying scammers already? It’s ridiculous how they keep getting through.

When I answered, no one was on the line. The number looked a lot like a bunch I’ve seen before. I usually just let these calls go now, feels like a waste of time.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent asking questions about our TV. Definitely a scam, so best not to share any personal details with them.

I picked up the phone but got nothing on the other end. So I googled the number and found these reviews. I've had calls like this before, where they claim they can lower your TV insurance to just 7 quid if you hand over your bank info - total scam. Really scary stuff. Wouldn't it be great if there was an official website where folks could report these numbers and get them blocked for good?

So, had a call from someone who sounded Asian, chatting about TV cover or whatever. I just messed about, feeding him dodgy info and kept him going in loops for like 4 or 5 mins. Eventually, he gave up. I'd be careful though, reckon it might be risky if you spill any real personal stuff to them. Better to waste their time than get caught out, I reckon.

This number keeps ringing my 82-year-old mum non stop. They keep saying she can get a free TV but only if she hands over her credit card info. It's just awful, really takes advantage of elderly people like that.

Someone called me saying my TV cover was going to be cheaper. I let her continue talking for a bit, then I asked where she was calling from. She said Home Care Assist. When I mentioned I hadn’t heard of that company before, she just ended the call. Pretty fishy if you ask me!

I got a call from an Asian lady telling me that the cover on my TV insurance was about to expire. She wanted to talk to two people she named, but both of them have sadly died. I told her nicely about that and then ended the call.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming my TV warranty would be extended for another 3 years, even named a brand that’s not mine. When I corrected her, she got quite rude and kept pressing me to tell her the actual brand. I just didn’t want to say and then she abruptly hung up on me. Seriously watch out, it’s definitely a scam.

Got a call from some company offering a TV service plan for a telly I got from a big shop I know. They said the paperwork is on its way in the post. I said cheers and ended the call before they could explain how the whole scam actually works. Sounded dodgy from the start.

I let it ring a couple of times before I decided to block it - been getting a bunch of calls from numbers that all look the same.

had a call from someone with an accent i think from south asia, asking about my dad regarding his tv. i gave them the address like they wanted but told them loudly and clearly my dad passed away years ago. ended the call right after. since the tv was bought from a famous place, maybe they got info from some data breach or an old phone book or something. definitely felt like a scam or phishing attempt. pretty dodgy stuff!!
