These idiots are unreal, honestly. With all the rules like GDPR, how come the police don’t do anything about these numbers? Feels like they’re just allowed to keep harassing us!

What scum. Why aren’t the police doing anything about this? You’d think they could track these idiots down.

You either stand up to them or just complain and let them have an easy go at scamming someone else next time.

Totally a scam, don’t trust it!

Using unlimited minutes on multiple phones with auto redial apps and not blocking my number has been chaos. Most scammers don't respond when I try to ring back, but this group always picks up no matter what number they're calling from. They hit thousands every day, but I reckon if just one person stood up to them, it might actually make a difference.

I received a recorded voicemail from a robotic voice claiming to be from HMRC, warning of dire consequences if I didn't return their call. I chose to disregard it entirely.

It seems the number’s off for now... but if you ring again later, it usually picks up.

Dont fall for this one it’s a scam! Got a call from some robot with an American accent saying it was HMRC. Just hang up straight away and dont waste your time.

Dodgy call. Got this recorded message in an American accent, pushing me to ring a certain number. Total scam.

Got a recorded call warning me that if I didn’t ring back, they’d take legal steps against me. Honestly, it was pretty intimidating and I can see why folks might get a bit scared hearing something like that.

It’s clear that standing up to these scammers actually does something... that’s probably why this site is full to the brim with bogus scammer posts. Honestly, someone needs to take action here - this lot could easily target someone close to you.

Called them back on a bunch of different numbers and spent about an hour telling them off for trying to con decent folks. Every time, a different person picked up, giving you plenty of time to enjoy a good laugh while they shout at you in dodgy English. Proper way to brighten up a Friday evening!

Just like the first person said, I found it really unsettling as well.

Got a call supposedly from HMRC but sounded like an American bloke. When I tried phoning them back, the person was really cheeky and told me to shut up. Proper rude with no manners at all.

Got a call saying I owed HMRC taxes and if I didn't press 1, I'd be arrested. Classic scam stuff. Like the warning clearly states, you won't get arrested. Don't fall for it and definitely don’t send them any cash!

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC but had an American accent, threatening me to ring them back or they'd send solicitors after me. It’s the same old rubbish scam, but honestly, it’s not something to joke about since vulnerable folks could really get hurt by this. Someone needs to put a stop to it.

Looks like they've pulled the plug on the number for now... ringing them back just throws a spanner in the works. This crew - Jennifer, Mark, Stephen and some bloke from Asia I can barely pronounce - they’re on it every day. They definitely get the meaning of getting interrupted. That’s me, really... I’m why they don’t run those 'press 1 to speak' scams anymore.
