Offcom really should have a look into this matter.

This number keeps ringing my 92-year-old mum every day, saying they're from BT Openreach and that her internet is running slow. The thing is, she doesn’t even have broadband. I reckon she’ll have to phone BT herself to get this sorted out.

Got a call that felt like harassment, real annoying stuff.

I got a call from this number yesterday, with someone pretending to be from BT Openreach - same as a couple of times last week. They’re definitely scammers. The call was automated and ended abruptly with just a “goodbye.” Honestly, the smartest move is to report them to the ICO by looking up “report nuisance calls.” You might also want to alert BT and Action Fraud because these lot are just trying to rip people off. Plus, they could be running up your phone bill just by calling. Best to stay careful and report.

Got a weird call from some Indian call centre, kept babbling about “briat slow and security com and other keys, no wal” or something like that. Then they started telling me my internet was being used or whatever. They wanted me to turn on my laptop and hit the ctrl key. What even is that? Who are these jokers?

Got a call from some woman claiming to be Janet Wilson, sounded like she was from somewhere in Asia. She started going on about my internet being slow or something. I just let her have it, told her straight up I knew she was trying to scam me. Told her to stop wasting her time and find real work. Reckon her family must be well disappointed if they're aware she’s scamming old people and those who can't really defend themselves. Called her out for being a nasty piece of work, full of shame. Not long after, she cut the call.

i just got a call from this asian lady who was really hard to get a word from, claiming to be from “bt openreach”. she said she knew my internet was glitchy and buffering loads and offered to fix it. i kept quiet and went along with it for a bit, then said my internet was fine and never slowed down. she just cut the call right there. another one to add to the scammer list for sure.

A guy with an Asian accent called saying he was from BT Openreach. He claimed my broadband was running slower than it should and suggested it ought to be at least double my current speed. That’s when I got a bit iffy since I already knew my usual internet speed. He then told me to call him back on 0800 111 4567 later on.

Today, I had a call from a number I suspected was some kind of scam, so I just didn’t answer and added the number to my blocked list. Honestly, best decision ever!

A guy with an Asian accent rang me saying he was from BT Openreach tech support, but the call cut off suddenly. Last week, I got two similar calls from scammers too, but that time it was an Asian woman. Both calls had terrible connection and she ended up hanging up, but I caught her giggling to someone else in the background. These scammers just seem to drop the call quickly.

Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming to be with BT Openreach about my internet speed. Honestly, I’d say best just to ignore it or end the call straight away, like I did.
