I received a call from some firm inquiring whether I had put money into bitcoin. They were exceptionally impolite during the conversation and outright refused to address any of my inquiries until I revealed all my personal information. They bombarded me with several calls within just a couple of hours from various numbers and wouldn’t take a hint. In the end, I decided to block every single one of them.

I've been bombarded by calls not just from this number, but a slew of others ever since I enquired about Bitcoin last year. I made it clear that I wasn’t interested anymore, yet the calls just kept flooding in. Most hang up after a few seconds, but they keep coming at all hours, even late into the night. With my daughter living abroad and my husband terminally ill with cancer, this whole situation is incredibly frustrating. It all started when I clicked on a link from "Stuff NZ," a free news portal, after reading a piece about our Prime Minister. I'm utterly done with this nonsense.

I received a phone call from someone purporting to be with the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority). They inquired if I had any grievances with a company that was promoting bitcoin investments. When I questioned the purpose of her call, she insisted on leading the conversation and refused to respond to any of my inquiries until I disclosed whether I had put any funds into said investments. I pressed her for her contact number, suggesting I would return her call, but she kept reiterating that I hadn’t addressed her questions. Frustrated, I ended the call. Not long after, she rang back from 061 768 9206, asking why I had disconnected. Without hesitation, I hung up once more and subsequently added both numbers to my blocked contacts.
