4 yearsWithin just ten minutes, I got a series of annoying calls that were quite irritating. Really persistent and a bit of a nuisance.4 yearsBeware of a Bitcoin scam! A chap claiming to be from Blockchain rang me up insisting that I needed to fork out 130,000 AUD into my Binance account to sort out some supposed income tax issue. Firstly, it's an absolute certainty that Blockchain would never contact anyone directly to ask for a payment into a crypto exchange wallet-this is pure nonsense. Secondly, let’s clarify: in Australia, the taxation of Bitcoin is classified as capital gains tax, not as regular income tax. Thirdly, it's worth noting that most cryptocurrency exchanges don’t require you to have any funds in your wallet to process incoming transactions. So, don’t waste your breath on this bloke-he’s clearly up to no good. I’d advise you to block him instantly. This bloke claims to be from Blockchain and insists you must fork out 130,000 AUD into your Binance account to sort out some supposed 'income tax' issue in order to get your funds back. Firstly, let me tell you, Blockchain would never phone you up demanding you deposit cash into your cryptocurrency wallet. That’s not how it works! Secondly, in Australia, Bitcoin isn’t taxed under income tax regulations; it falls under capital gains tax instead. And thirdly, the majority of crypto exchanges don’t demand that you have funds or Bitcoin sitting in your wallet to process incoming transactions. So, save yourself the bother and block this time-wasting muppet. The number that called me was +441617688869.BlockchainAustraliaBitcoin4 yearsThis so-called Bitcoin scam is absolutely ludicrous! The chap claims to be representing Blockchain and insists that I must settle an income tax fee. He wants a staggering 130,000 AUD transferred to my Binance account as a requisite to reclaim my own funds! Firstly, it's completely out of the question that Blockchain would ever contact someone asking for funds to be deposited into any crypto wallet-it's just not how it works! Secondly, let’s clear up a common misconception: in Australia, cryptocurrencies are subject to capital gains tax rather than ordinary income tax. Lastly, a majority of crypto exchanges won’t demand you to hold funds or crypto in your wallet to process incoming transactions. In summary, this individual is nothing but a time-wasting nuisance.
