Every so often, I’ll let the telemarketer run through their whole spiel, then in the kindest, most genuine tone I can muster, I’ll say something like: I get it, times are hard and you need to earn a wage. We’ve all had to take on rubbish jobs just to get by at some point. But honestly, is this what brings you any joy? Do you ever go to bed feeling like you actually did something worthwhile today? Are you excited to get up and do it all over again? Surely you deserve more than this.

They've been ringing me non-stop about some delayed flights? At least it’s something different from all those made-up accidents and blocked pillow stories. Honestly, I’m going to report this under the harassment laws.

this number called me out of the blue and the person on the other end knew my full name, saying i was eligible to get compensation for a delayed flight from a couple years back. i told them i'd already made a claim before. looking back, maybe i shouldn’t have picked up but i didn’t share any of my private details so hopefully that’s the last i hear from them.

This number has been ringing me on and off at least four times in the past week. I never pick up since it’s a number I don’t know. Every time I let it go to voicemail, they just hang up straight away. Honestly, when will they realise it’s not working? I’m tempted to check if cold calling like this is even legal. They might be using different numbers each time to trick me, but honestly, that’s their mistake!
