01618841345 Zerubs based in Manchester called my mum twice and just hung up straightaway each time. When I tried calling back, a recorded message came on saying something like "You received a call today from Zerubs." Looks like a total cold call scam to me. I did a quick search for Zerubs Manchester and the top result was a Manchester Evening News article warning about phone scams.

This guy called asking for a Mr & Mrs Hughes. I told him he dialled the wrong number. Then he asked if I was in #my town#. I said what does that have to do with anything, since he’s after people who don’t even live here? He replied that it was fine for me to answer since he wanted to talk to anyone from the town. ?? I just ended the call.

They keep ringing every half hour or so. I've stopped more than 20 calls in just a couple of days. I'm guessing my number got leaked from some EE or Orange list since I never share it or use it anywhere else.

I’m in the same boat as everyone else - annoyed doesn’t even cover it. I rang BT and luckily they sorted it out for me without charging a penny - got the 1572 service now. Need to wait about a day before I can start using it. Fingers crossed I can finally block that annoying person who kept ringing and then hanging up on me (so rude!). It's incredibly annoying how they disconnect before you can even pick up the phone! Honestly, it’s quite vexing. These nuisance calls ought to be taken down a peg or two, and hefty fines should be dished out to those behind them for bothering innocent folks like us.

They said they were from some kind of industrial injury firm, so I just hung up. They keep ringing back loads, and it's got so bad I had to put the phone on answerphone just to avoid them. Proper pain in the neck.

I use a call blocker so it gets blocked right away since it’s an overseas number pretending to be a UK one. Same thing goes for 01617685289, just a small change in the last digit.

Some bloke called, asking for Mr or Mrs something, I asked what it was regarding and he just repeated the question. When I asked why, he just hung up on me.

Just got a call from this number. They actually knew my name and said they were from some Noise Ombudsman. Said I’d worked in a “noisy industry” before, which I denied straight away. Then they tried to suggest maybe someone else in the house had. When I asked where they got my details from, they said some database and tried to carry on with their pitch. But when I asked exactly how that database had my info, they got quiet and eventually said sorry for bothering me and went silent. I could still hear a call centre buzzing in the background, so I just hung up.

I just had a rather peculiar phone call from this number. The caller seemed to know who I was, which was quite disconcerting. They introduced themselves as representatives of a Noise Ombudsman and insisted that I had some affiliation with a "noisy profession." Naturally, I was taken aback and denied ever having worked in such an environment. They then attempted to shift the blame, suggesting it could have been someone else in my household instead. When I probed them on where they obtained my details from, they claimed it came from a database, but when I pressed them for specifics on that database's source, they quickly backtracked. In a matter of moments, they started to apologise for calling and fell silent. I could still hear the hustle and bustle of the call centre in the background, so I decided to end the call there.

Zelebs? They claim someone in the home did some kind of industrial job, but won’t share an address and kept phoning for months. They couldn’t even say when the ‘industrial work’ supposedly happened, like what century or anything. Our number’s unlisted and on the TPS.

They’ve been ringing me every single day lately, so I finally picked up today. They asked if I was Mrs Cordery, I said no, then they asked if I was Tribuna or something like that, I said no again, and then they went ‘who is it then?’ I just gave them my first name. They then asked ‘have you ever worked somewhere noisy?’ I said no, told them I used to be a police officer. The call ended sharpish after that. Makes you wonder, probably fishing for people to sign up for those no win no fee claims.

We dont have any agents free right now. if you dont want more calls, press 5." but pressing 5 just makes the recording play again and again. this number keeps ringing my work phone and just hangs up right after someone answers and talks.
