Got a call from some bloke with a strong Asian accent who said his name was 'David'. I asked what company he was with and he just said "PPI department, yeah?" I pressed him again for the actual company name and all he could say was "the PPI department" again. So I told him to jog on, called him a complete muppet, and ended the call.

I picked up and there was just about 10 seconds of weird noise before a woman started talking, asking for Mr. _____. When I said that it was me, she said her name was ‘Nisa’ (pronounced Nee-Sar) and that she could assist me with some refund I was supposedly owed. Pretty obvious scam so I just ended the call.

These lot are definitely harvesting numbers, been ringing me about 5 times daily for months. Just today, I rang them back and got a message saying something like thanks for reaching the claims team, we’ll get back to you. When you answer, it goes silent for about 10 seconds. I think they're trying to figure out which calls get answered. Seems like some kinda automated scheme, really dodgy and fishy if you ask me.
