This number 0161 768 2055 keeps ringing me, saying it’s about PPI compensation. But they want £150 paid straight away before they release anything, and my case says over £2840 is owed. On top of that, they ask to remote into your computer using their software to “send” the money. Seems a bit dodgy to me, like some kind of money laundering. They mentioned the company name Black Finance Financial.

Got a call from a guy called "Trevor" claiming to be from a PPI firm. He was quite polite and double-checked if my postcode matched what he had, I told him no and gave my updated one but he just couldn’t get it. Ended up saying goodbye to Trevor. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from a bloke with a really thick accent, sounded like he was calling from some busy place, maybe Grand Central. He was talking about PPI. When I asked him to clarify what that actually meant and why he figured I’d be entitled to it, he kinda fumbled and wasn’t sticking to the usual spiel.

Got three calls from these PPI people today! A really pushy bloke who wouldn’t remove me from their list, saying because I didn’t want to hear about PPI, I wasn’t “informed” enough to decide. When I explained I never had loans or a mortgage, he said he’d report my number to the banks for fraud - apparently, if what I’m saying is true, they shouldn’t be passing on my details due to data protection rules. Then he threatened legal action if I was lying! Proper awkward chat, but if you ring back, they let you press 1 to stop any more calls.
