The callers claimed to be from a national loan company, but they were attempting to use my bank account for laundering money, luring me in with the promise of a £2000 loan. They even deposited money into my account and instructed me to purchase Google Play and Amazon gift cards, insisting that I share the codes with them to somehow improve my credit score. Looking back, I can’t believe I was so gullible.
