This number, 016176803000437, has been ringing me nearly every single day since April now. I reported it to BT but they didn’t help at all - they just brushed me off like it wasn't their problem. I’m really not sure what my next step should be. Going through these comments and seeing how many people are having issues with Fountain Finances, you’d imagine there’d be a regulator who could put a stop to this kinda harassment.

I received a call from someone wanting to chat with my husband. I let them know he wasn't available and probed a bit further, asking what it was concerning. Got one of those quiet calls again (honestly, how do they manage that? From an ex-BT tech here). Didn't bother calling back. Seriously, don’t be silly - you should never ring those numbers back. They often connect you to overpriced international or satellite lines, and you could end up with a massive bill that foreign firms will try to make you pay. If you get charged, definitely tell your provider straight away - they tend to have databases of these dodgy lines connected to scammers, often hidden or illegally piggybacked through the networks of major companies.
