I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since anyone mentioned this! I just got a call from that same number today, 26th March 2023. Seems like it’s active again. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Even though my number's on the TPS list, I still get these annoying calls every week. The caller never says who they are or what they're calling about. I reckon Privilege Insurance, which is linked to Direct Line, must've passed my details on somehow. Seems like another dodgy insurance claims scam to me.

I’ve blocked this number but it keeps ringing me several times a day, like 3 or 4 times! It’s honestly such a pain. Can’t the authorities do something about it and put a stop to this? It feels like proper harassment to me.

I've been getting calls from this number a few times recently. When I pick up, there's just silence on the other end, then they quickly hang up. I answered the first couple of times but now I just let it ring until it stops. Since there's no real talking or message, I've flagged it as unknown.

Someone rang up saying they were from motor assist, telling me I had money owed after a crash. They knew my name, my address, and details about my car. The only thing was they got the accident date wrong by a bit. Strangely, they had no clue who my insurance company was. They sounded pretty convincing, were polite, and told me I could be owed anywhere from £1500 to £3000, which they said would be sent by cheque. They even mentioned that £3,000 was held back by the other party's insurer as a contingency fund. It feels like a total scam and quite risky to get involved with.

For ages I've been getting calls from these people. They already have my name, my address, and even my car's registration number. It’s quite unsettling that they know so much about me. I've never shared anything with them, so I have no idea where they’re getting all this info from. Considering I recently had a crash, it makes the calls all the more difficult to deal with. I told them to just send me something in writing. Seriously, don't give these lot any information.

I just got a ring from this number, just like others have said before. The caller was quite polite and asked about a claim they said I had. They mentioned I was supposed to get a cheque from an insurance firm for some inconvenience, nothing about injuries as there weren’t any. They claimed it was because I was in the vehicle when the crash happened. Truth is, my car was parked and some lorry backed straight into it. The moment I told them I wasn’t actually in the car, they hung up on me. Feels like some kind of scam to me. Watch out!

Got a call from some legal firm advertising about my car crash back in January. Told them nobody was inside since the car was just parked, and they hung up on me straight away.

Got a call from a guy named Adam claiming to be from Motor Assist. We ended up chatting for a while about some damage to my car that happened nearly a year back. He said he just needed some last details to wrap up the case. I told him I was fine with how the repairs turned out but wasn’t impressed with the service, especially since they gave me a bigger car during the 4-week fix and it guzzled petrol, which I wasn’t happy about. He was quite polite at first but then he asked if I’d been in the car during the accident. When I said the car was parked and I was actually inside a nearby building, he just hung up. Made me think it was definitely about an accident claim.

Got a call from what they said was a car repair place. They knew my name, address and some stuff about my car. When I told them there wasn’t anyone in the vehicle, they just dropped the call. It did sound pretty legit, honestly if someone had been hurt I might've fallen for it.

I got a call from someone saying they were claims assist. I've had loads of calls like this before. When I challenged the guy, he ended up calling me names and telling me to f*** off! Definitely stay well clear of these!

Got a call from a guy who said he was from something like ‘Accident Assistance’ - hard to catch because of his thick accent. He mentioned something about a Contingency fee and already had my name and address, which freaked me out a bit. When I asked him which accident he meant, he just cut off. Definitely put this number on the block and don’t share any of your info with them!

Someone called me from Motor Assist, Adam was his name. He said he needed some last info to finish up a claim on my behalf. Apparently, some other driver had scraped my car while it was parked outside the shops back in January, right when I was inside. But Adam reckoned I was in the car at the time. I've been asked that question way too many times before, so I just said straight up that I wasn’t in the car. Then he hit me with, "So who was inside then?" I said, "No one at all." Without another word, he just hung up. Pretty obvious they were probing to start some kind of injury claim.

Since February, I've been getting calls from who say they're First Solutions, asking about a car crash that supposedly wasn't my fault.
