Got a call on my home phone at 12.25am on Thursday 11th Feb 2021. When it went to the answerphone, the call just cut off. This number seems really dodgy.

Somebody rang me claiming to be from HMRC about some supposed tax fraud, threatening arrest if I didn't comply. When I pressed 1 to speak, they asked for my full name and address, then wanted more personal details like my date of birth. I wasn’t happy sharing that info, so I asked for a contact number and extension instead. They told me to just look up HMRC’s number on Google Chrome, then suddenly cut the call.
