Got a call from some so-called “tech firm” claiming my PC was riddled with viruses. They tried to persuade me to let them remotely access my machine or install some software. When I queried their location, they said London, yet the number showed a Manchester area code. I pressed them for which part of London they were calling from and, shockingly, they just hung up. Who’d have thought?
