I’ve been inundated with calls on both my landline and mobile from these pests! I’ve already blocked them on my home phone, yet they persist in ringing me at least twice daily. I've answered a couple of times, asking them to cease their calls, but that seems to fall on deaf ears. One day alone, I received five of their calls! I'm in the process of blocking their numbers on my mobile, but it's a bit tricky since they’re using three different numbers. It began last year when they posed as BT, then they switched to claiming they were from a medical firm back in April, and now they’re harping on about O2 trying to push phone upgrades. Someone really ought to track down this operation and put an end to their nuisance!

Trying to block scam calls is pointless. They just keep ringing from countless random fake or spoofed numbers. The better move is to flood the police with reports every time you get a scam call. Someone shared info about this on here a couple weeks back, if you scroll down about 11 comments you’ll find it.

I received a call from an Indian woman who informed me that I could upgrade my contract. Naturally, I questioned why I would want to enhance a deal with someone who’s possibly up to no good. At that point, she abruptly ended the call.

I received a phone call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she could help me upgrade my current phone to the iPhone 15 Pro Max for just £40 a month. I played a bit coy, aware all along that it was likely a scam. When I expressed my uncertainty, she quickly wished me a lovely day and hung up without hesitation. It’s a pity, really, as I would’ve loved to drag the conversation out and give them a taste of their own medicine, considering the time they wasted! 😆

I received a dodgy call regarding a so-called Vodafone upgrade today. The individuals on the other end, who were speaking in Indian accents, were rather persistent in trying to fish for my personal information. It's quite absurd, considering I'm not even a Vodafone customer! Clearly a scam operation - do keep your wits about you!

I told the guy I was due an upgrade, so I said if you know that then you’ll know who my mobile network is. He just says “Yes sir.” Like, mate, that’s not an answer. I then told him to send me the info and he goes “Yes sir” again. Then I asked what brand of sandals he was wearing and he replied “Yes sir.” So I asked if it would hurt if I gave him a knock on the head with them, and weirdly, he didn’t say “Yes sir” that time 🤔

I got a call from someone claiming to be with the 3 mobile network, they asked for my info and were offering a really good phone deal.

Total scam. Some bloke claimed I could get an upgrade to an iPhone 15 Plus with some all inclusive deal that sounded way too good to be true. He had a foreign accent, maybe Asian, and said he was calling from O2. Thing is, I ain’t got any O2 contract to upgrade. Once I told him that, he just dropped the call.

‪0161 758 2650‬ rang me earlier. I usually dont answer calls from numbers I dont recognise. No voicemail left either. Loads of people (7,000 plus!) reported this number as a scam here. Better add it to your block list straight away!

Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent saying she was from Vodafone, trying to get me to upgrade my phone. I only have a SIM-only deal, which they should know if it was genuine. I said no thanks and now I've just blocked the number.
