I received a call earlier today from someone claiming to represent the British Heart Foundation, saying they wanted to coordinate a collection. The thing is, I haven’t arranged to donate anything! They mentioned they found my details through some Facebook page that alerts them whenever goods are put up for grabs. While I did post about donating in a group, my phone number isn’t publicly visible there, so it’s a bit concerning that they had both my name and number. I'm planning to follow up in the group, but I can’t shake the feeling that this could be a ruse to gain access to people’s homes.
