I received a call from a lady who claimed to represent Citizens Advice, and she wanted to discuss unsecured loans. The thing is, I don’t have any loans of that sort, so I took it as a red flag. Usually, I tend to be wary of such calls, especially when they come from someone with an Asian accent, so I decided to hang up. Just my usual precaution, really.

The caller had a distinct sound reminiscent of an Indian call centre, but it was quite challenging to decipher what they were saying. The microphone seemed positioned way too near their lips, resulting in a rather echoey and muddled conversation!
