I got a call from some place called ACCS in Manchester saying I was owed a payout, but the only way they'd send it was by cheque because they couldn't put it straight into my bank account. They actually asked for me by name and knew my address, which caught me off guard. Being a bit cautious, I didn’t give any info and asked the caller to prove who she was. She kept trying to push me for details, but eventually I told her I didn’t trust her and hung up. I’ve since blocked the number.

Got a call from a woman with a Pakistani accent claiming I’d paid tax on some PPI refund. She was blabbering on about how they take 48% off any amount owed. I asked her to email me all the info so I could check for myself. If they do owe me anything, I want the full amount, not nearly half of it! Total scam if you ask me. Today my missus got a call from a woman saying she was Maggie Armstrong from the financial conduct authority. She claimed the firm managing our timeshare in Malta had shut down and that all their staff had been let go. My wife told her I handle all that sort of thing, so Maggie said she'd ring back tomorrow. Had a call from a so called timeshare expert, they were really pushy about coming round to my house to 'help' me get out of my timeshare deal because apparently the company is failing. The whole thing was just set up a few weeks ago and not even officially registered yet. Definitely be careful with this one.

Was called a couple times by someone claiming my timeshare firm in Maita is going into liquidation, supposedly because the London High Court told them to pay back about 16,000 investors. They said I should get in touch with the consumer association for help. The lady on the phone sounded really pushy and when I mentioned the consumer association, she acted like she’d never even heard of it or that magazine.

I got a call from some company telling me that my name was on a register linked to a timeshare, and apparently the firm I bought the timeshare from is going bust. They said I could join a group with other owners but I’d need to travel to Majorca to get some legal advice. Smells like a total scam to me. We got a call telling us our timeshare was sold under false pretences and that both Golden Sands and Azure were about to go bust, warning us to hurry or we'd lose everything. I told them to call my husband the next evening after we'd had a chance to talk it through, but they never got back to us, and when we tried to ring them, no one answered. This number has called me several times now. They won’t tell me who they are but seem to be trying to get people to join some kind of group action against Azure Golden Sands. I told them I’ve got no issues and think we've actually had good value with Azure, booking cheaper holidays for what we put in. They claimed they got my info from a timeshare list, which I thought wasn’t real. Seems like they don’t really care about data protection laws in this situation.

Today I got a call from 01617381789, this guy said he found our number on some Timeshare list... funny coz we'd just got a suspicious email about our Timeshare issues earlier that day. I told him straight up we’re signed up with the GPS and he really shouldn’t be ringing us. Plus, we actually quite like our Timeshare, it suits us fine. He didn’t take the hint and kept going on, so I told him again we weren’t interested and hung up. Then the cheeky sod proceeded to ring me back like 5 or 6 times in a row. Proper harassment that. Didn’t bother arguing, but next time he calls, he’s in for a shock.

We got a call from some place called luxury or something similar, and they refused to explain how they got our info. They claimed it was from a timeshare register, but after looking into it, that register isn’t even real. Feels like they’re trying to trick timeshare owners into handing over cash. They wouldn’t send any details through email or anything in writing. We rang Citizens Advice about it and they’ve now referred us to the FCA.

I recently went through the timeshare council to file a complaint about a timeshare that was wrongly sold to me. They helped me understand my rights and supported me in making a claim for the miss sold property. If you feel like you’ve been misled over a timeshare deal, I’d recommend contacting them - they really know what they’re doing.

I got a call from this number saying they got my details from the timeshare registration and said they could connect me with a lawyer to help me cancel my timeshare agreement. They wouldn't send any info via post or email though. Feels dodgy to me, like the beginning of some kind of scam, but I’m not quite sure what kind yet.
