The caller, who sounded like an Indian lady, wanted me to confirm my postcode first. I gave it since it’s publicly available anyway. Then she asked for my full address, which I gave, but she said it was wrong. I told her I’d lived there for three years and wouldn’t have put down any other address on a claim. Then she pressed for my previous address. I mentioned it was in Nigeria, and immediately she asked for my email. That’s when I said I wasn’t comfortable continuing because it seemed like she was fishing for info to steal my identity. She insisted they were legit and understood my worries. I said I’d only provide my email if they emailed me first with full service details.
