Got a call from this number and the bloke on the other end told me I’d been in an accident and there was a great compensation offer. I told him I hadn’t had any accident, then he switched to trying to sell me some private pension plan. I said I’m too young for that sort of thing, so next thing he’s trying to flog me a second-hand car. He wouldn’t take no for an answer, so in the end I somehow ended up buying him a washing machine. If anyone wants one, I’ve now got two! Cheers.

I usually just block calls from numbers I don't recognise. If they don't follow up with a message or email, it’s clear they either can't contact me that way (like those call centre autodialers) or they’re strangers. Either way, I’m not interested in taking their calls. I got a call at 7.53 in the evening, and they said they were from the Pensions Service, but there was a lot of noise in the background, sounded like a pub or something. Because of the late hour and the racket, I figured it was probably a scam and told them they should ring back during proper office times before hanging up. They did know my name, which worries me. I've since contacted the actual Pension Service as I reckon someone might have nicked my letters and is having a laugh, messing about at my expense (maybe just some trolls).

All calls were from the same lady, seems like she’s juggling claims for accidents, pensions, and PPI all at once. Hope she gets some time off with all those jobs! The calls were from PPI Direct, Accident Direct, and Pension Direct.
