Absolutely dodgy individuals attempting to pull a fast one! They had some phoney background chatter going on, attempting to create the illusion of a bustling workplace. In the end, they hung up after I gave them a right earful and made my displeasure abundantly clear!

Sounds like a total scam to me. The call just sat there for a bit, then switched over to some bloke with a Filipino accent who claimed to be from BT saying there’s a problem with my line. He asked me to turn on my computer so they could sort it out. I told him to jog on.

I’ve just had a call from this number, but no-one was there when I picked up, just a quick “goodbye” before the line went dead. It’s rather puzzling since we’re ex-directory and signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. How on earth did they manage to get through? some bloke rang me claiming he was from bt openreach, saying there was an issue with my pc. i was like, yeah right. he asked if i could switch it on, and i told him, do you take me for a idiot or what? he said yes, seriously. so i told him to jog on and warned anyone older or more vulnerable not to believe these idiots or switch anything on. this number’s dodgy, definitely a scam.

I recently received a phone call from a lady with an Indian accent purporting to be from Openreach, insisting there was a security issue with my computer. Curious, I asked her how they had come to know this and requested some verification of her identity. She claimed they could see it was related to my use of the Windows operating system. The irony? I don't even use Windows! When I pointed this out to her, she promptly hung up. Clearly, it was a scam!

Since 11/10/2017, I've been getting loads of calls from this number. Whenever I answer, the line goes dead immediately. When I try 1471, it says the number's unknown. Just another annoying nuisance from some dodgy folks, it seems.

I received a call earlier today purporting to be from the Technical Department of BT Open Reach. The caller claimed they had been keeping an eye on my phone line and suggested I was experiencing internet issues. When they inquired if I was aware of these problems, I answered in the affirmative to gauge their response. They then urged me to access my computer to secure it against hackers! However, I declined, as I recalled an incident with my neighbour, whose bank account got wiped clean due to a similar scam. I informed them that I would reach out to BT directly, as their technical team would surely be aware if this was above board. Upon contacting BT, they confirmed that this number was indeed a fraudster posing as them. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend reporting it to BT so we can protect others from falling victim to such deceitful tactics.

Naturally, we declined, sensing that it was a ruse potentially aimed at installing harmful software. I truly hope that BT manages to share the caller's details with the police, leading to an arrest. Seems fishy to me, if they dont bother to leave a message then it's probably dodgy. I wouldnt trust it, reckon it's either some scam or an unwanted sales call, both of which I'll steer clear of.
