Got a call from a woman who said she was from BT, kept telling me my computer was hacked. She wanted me to share my computer info to "prove" she was legit. Sounded like a scam to me. My computer's working just fine, so I didn’t give her any details. Very pushy and suspicious.

Got a call from this number a few days ago - nothing but silence on the other end. Today, it rang again and some Indian woman claimed to be from BT Openreach, talking about an issue with the computer that just isn’t there, then the call dropped out.

Got a call from this number today, just silence on the line then a beep before they hung up. They've rung me twice now.

I got a phone call supposedly from BT, which is coincidentally my internet supplier. The person on the line claimed my computer was seriously infected with viruses (which it definitely isn't, I have full McAfee protection on all my devices). They then had me open eventvwr as part of their spiel. I played along for about 10 minutes, dragging the conversation out, but in the end they understood they weren’t going to trick me. I reckon their goal was to persuade me to hand over my credit card details for virus removal, leading to a big rip-off.
