I got a call from someone claiming to be from Three (the phone company) about some merger stuff. They wanted my email so they could send me a new SIM, saying my phone wouldn’t work without it. I decided to ring Three directly and they told me they hadn’t contacted me at all. After that, the same number rang me again a few times. The first call only asked for my email, but I told them to call back later (gave a made-up excuse) so I could double-check with Three.

Picked up the phone, said hello, no one said a word back, then it just went quiet before hanging up.
