Received a call on my home phone. I believe I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. I opted not to pick up, and strangely, they didn’t bother leaving a voicemail. I'm situated in Leicestershire, by the way.

Christina rang us for the 4th time today. She claimed that someone was trying to get into our computer and that our Windows licence was at risk of being cancelled. When my husband told her the computer wasn’t even turned on, she insisted he should switch it on so she could prove who was trying to access it. Yeah, right! No way was I falling for that.

Got a call today from a woman with an Indian accent who said her name was Christine. She was asking for my husband and mentioned there was an attempt to get into our computer. My husband wasn’t having any of it and said it sounded like nonsense before ending the call. Later on, she called again saying she was returning the call as per his supposed request at 2 pm. When he asked which company she was from, she claimed to be from Windows. He replied that he’d contact them directly and then hung up.
