7 yearsI've been getting calls from this number that are completely silent - it's not just once, it keeps happening and honestly it's really starting to get on my nerves.7 yearsReceived a call earlier today purporting to be from Microsoft Windows. The chap on the line insisted he had detected viruses lurking on my machine and suggested granting him remote access to demonstrate the issue and resolve it. Absolutely not, I thought - not a chance!Microsoft7 yearsEnded up blocking the number. They’re probably making cash from every call they ring through. What a bunch of muppets.7 yearsLet it ring through to voicemail but nothing was recorded. I'm definitely going to block this number!7 yearsThey called me back to back twice. After seeing what others said, I’ve blocked the number right away.7 yearsThis number rings me loads but never drops a message. I reckon they probably don’t know who I am, otherwise they’d leave a note or ping me an email with more details, right?7 yearsToday I got a call for the 4th time now, this one from a Manchester area code. I didn’t pick up and just let it ring through to voicemail like always. Not even a single message left. Definitely just another annoying spam call.Manchester7 yearsI was under the impression they banned silent calls already!7 yearsAbout six minutes back, this number rang me, but I quickly hit the block call button and it cut the call off.7 yearsI received a rather dubious call today from a chap claiming to be 'support' from a Windows team. He informed me that he'd been monitoring my IP address and noticed some error logs. I decided to play the role of a somewhat elderly and hard-of-hearing individual, which meant he had to repeat himself quite a lot. When I inquired about my actual IP number, he rather clumsily fabricated one, and shockingly, it had only nine digits-mine has twelve, of course! His grasp of English was rather poor, leading him to transfer me to his superior, a certain "Harry Johnson." The call centre was clearly bustling, as I could hear others in the background instructing customers to enter 'CMD' and then 'Event Viewer'. Poor Harry became increasingly exasperated, repeatedly insisting, “You’re not listening to me!” until I finally fell silent. He claimed that it wasn’t my IP that was causing the issues but my Windows licence instead. Curiosity got the best of me, and I asked for my Windows licence number. This seemed to infuriate him, as he sputtered that I was wasting HIS time and resources! And with that, he terminated the call. The numbers that appeared were 0161 724 8142 and 0203 4091 774. Absolute nonsense!Harry JohnsonCMDHarrySubmit Your Own Report (0161 724 8142)
