I didn’t pick up, not sure who it was but kinda curious since they said a fake name like the one above.

Got a call claiming they'd refund some fees on my current account. I checked with my bank first and wasn't convinced. The caller got quite rude and just ended the call abruptly.

Picked up the phone and just said, “hello, Brookfield animal shelter, this is Sarah,” (not my name and definitely not a shelter) but nothing, just quiet on the other end. I repeated hello but still no reply so I ended the call. Seems like a total scam to me. They were wasting my time so I figured I’d mess with them by giving them a fake place and name. It really confuses them and it’s quite entertaining to play along like that.
