Got a call from Reliance Advisory. The guy, called Kieran, just stopped talking halfway when I asked him to verify the company name. I’ve lodged a complaint and requested a Subject Access Request, not sure if they’ll follow through. He mentioned credit reports or something. They’ve been calling for several days, so I’m hoping this sorts it out.

ATOL was trying to sell holidays to people who’d been to places with terrible cleanliness. My hotel was only 3 months old, absolutely spotless, proper luxury with fancy a la carte meals. There was no way he could argue with that, but I still ended up blocking him anyway.

They're dangling the lure of compensation for so-called all-inclusive holidays, referencing different travel companies, likely in the hope that we might have been on one of those jaunts. It's nothing more than a blatant scam aimed at tempting folks into making false claims. It's baffling that the authorities haven't taken stronger measures to shut these schemes down for good. Had a rather peculiar conversation with someone who seemed to know me by name! They mentioned that I might be eligible for a refund from ATOL in light of my recent all-inclusive getaway. Quite the coincidence, considering how they knew about it! I requested they send all the details to my email, knowing full well they didn't possess my address. Strangely enough, they hurriedly claimed, “I've got it stashed away somewhere,” and disconnected quicker than you could blink. What do you reckon-fishy or just plain suspicious?

He said my name’s on some list showing I’d been on an all-inclusive holiday in the past couple of years and that I’m owed a refund because some of the 6000 resorts had poor hygiene standards. He wanted me to verify these details. I asked if I’d agreed to this call and he said no. Then he kept asking me to confirm his info and tell him where I’d holidayed. I asked who gave him this list and why he didn’t already know if there was an issue. Then he just hung up.
