I got a voicemail with really terrible grammar saying something like 'This is to tell you there are serious charges against your name and National Insurance number. It's urgent. Call back immediately on #####. If you don't, there will be severe legal problems. To stop this, call us now. This is Mike Wilson from HM Revenue and Customs. Last warning.' This threatening scam felt nearly criminal to me. It's awful how they try to scare older or vulnerable folks. I've reported it to the TPS but doubt anything will come of it.

They rang me, I picked up and said I had PPI claims, told them I already sorted it, he asked when, I said just now cause my sister’s a lawyer, then he just hung up on me.

Got a call from this number today at 14:09. I never pick up calls from unknown numbers. If it’s important, they tend to leave a voicemail. Otherwise, I just google the number to check if others have reported anything. From what I found, I just block these numbers. Cheers to everyone who shares their stories. Blocked now!

The call was actually meant for my missus. Gocompare was the company cos I signed her up, but stupidly used my own phone number. I’m pretty sure it’s just a scam to grab your info and toss it onto their spam list.

A lady rang saying she was from Reliant about some PPI refund I might be owed. I told her I've already looked into my PPI and found nothing, so she said she'd remove me from her list. We'll see if she actually does. This isn’t the first time I’ve been bothered by these Manchester numbers.
