This number kept ringing and went straight to voicemail every time I tried to answer, but no messages were left. I’ve decided to block it now since it’s clearly some sort of scam.

I just let it ring through to voicemail, and knowing who I think it might be, they didn’t seem too keen to leave a message. I gave them a ring back, but oddly enough, the number came up as unrecognised or not valid. Thought that was a bit weird. Shame, because I wanted to tell them that eventually, everyone has to face their own conscience about what they’ve done. Me, I couldn’t care less, but it’s funny how a guilty conscience can creep in when the time comes. Just remember, the truth is always watching, no matter what.

I've been getting calls from 0161 703 7637, and they're definitely scams. They pretend to be from big companies like Microsoft, Virgin Media, or BT Internet, but it’s all a load of rubbish. Just a heads up though, don’t go blocking the number that shows up on your phone because these scammers can make their calls look like they’re coming from any number. So if you block that number, you might miss real calls from whoever actually owns it.

My answerphone picked up but there was no sound on the other end.

Just got another call from them, second time in a couple of days, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number. I never bother calling them back. It's weird though, they keep ringing from loads of different numbers. I wonder how on earth they manage to get hold of our private ex-directory info?

Scammers, no doubt. They usually say something like, “Hello, I’m calling from Microsoft to alert you that your computer is under attack and your credit card info might be at risk.” It’s the same old story every time.

Got a call saying it was from Microsoft - pretty obvious scam to me. Told them to shove it and hung up straight away, then blocked the number.

He claimed to be from Microsoft and said I was talking nonsense. Then he just told me he was about to disconnect my computer and hung up on me.
