got a call from someone claiming to be uk benefits asking about my life insurance provider. i just said i didn’t know who they were and that i’d google them first to check if it’s worth speaking to them. weird thing is, couldn’t find any info on them at all.

It appears this number is making the rounds today! It’s definitely a scam hailing from Manchester. Oddly enough, there’s absolute silence until a woman’s voice chimes in with a goodbye at the end! Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

The moment I pick up the call, I’m greeted with an automated voice that simply states 'goodbye'. It’s clearly a con!
