Got a ring from this number earlier. Proper cold call, haven’t had one like that in ages. They reckoned they were from some insurance review lot wanting to chat about my life insurance. I just said, "No life insurance here, mate, so you’re wasting your time. Cheers!" and ended the call. Definitely a scam. Haven't bothered blocking the number yet though.

They claimed to be from some insurance review group, I told them I wasn’t interested in switching and didn’t want to talk to anyone. They said they weren’t asking me to change anything though. Then started listing loads of insurance firms. I just said no thanks and ended the call. Later on, I accidentally rang back the number trying to check it, and someone answered calling themselves the review team and even said my name. When I asked why they kept ringing me, they immediately hung up. I’ve now blocked the number.

I usually don't pick up calls from unknown numbers. If it’s important, they can leave a voicemail. Since there was no message left, I’m not planning to return the call. I’ve gone ahead and blocked this number now.

Some bloke called ‘William’ from an insurance review company rang me to check my policy supposedly because I might not be covered for Covid, said he wasn’t trying to sell anything though. When I asked which company my policy was through, he just kept saying something like one of the big 5. When I said no thanks, he went on about wills and funeral plans. I just ended the call.

Got a call from someone with a Middle Eastern accent claiming they wanted to check my insurance policies. I kept asking which firm they represented but they just dodged the question. I told them I was busy with work and to not ring me again! No clue where they got my number from - definitely don’t share any personal details with them! These cold callers are impossible to trust.

I got a call from a lady called Rose, speaking with an Indian or Pakistani accent. She actually knew my first and maiden surname, but didn’t mention where she was calling from. She said it was about my insurance policy. When I asked which one, she said life insurance. Strangely, my life insurance is under my husband’s name, not mine. Then she asked if he was free. I said no, and asked if she wouldn’t rather speak to him if it was about OUR policy. After that, she got quiet, said alright thanks, and hung up.
